Extra Supreme Pizza

This pizza is a bit of a twist from what I normally make. It has tofu "cheese," a sauce made from tomato paste, and a whole wheat crust.

Ingredients

Pizza Dough
1 Cup Warm Water
2 1/4 Teaspoons Yeast
1 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
2 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour

Tofu Cheese
6-8 Ounces Firm Tofu, Drained
2 Tablespoons Miso
3 Tablespoons Nutritional Yeast
1 Teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar

Sauce
6 Ounce Can of Tomato Paste
Dried Basil, To Taste
Dried Oregano, To Taste
Garlic, To Taste
Salt & Pepper, To Taste

Plus whatever toppings you like. I used onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, artichokes, and heart of palm.

Directions
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit

Pizza Dough
Mix the yeast in the warm water until it dissolves
Add the flour and salt
Mix until the dough has a good consistency and can formed into a ball; I usually add a little more water to make it wetter, and if it gets too wet then I add more flour.
Cover with a towel or plastice wrap and let sit for 1 hour to rise

Tofu Cheese
Once the tofu is drained place it in a small bowl
Add the other ingredients and mash with a potato masher until all the ingredients are mixed

Sauce
Place the contents of the can in a bowl
Add seasoning as desired
Fill the 6 ounce can about 2/3 or completely full with water and stir the water into the paste and spice mixture
The sauce can now be spread on the pizza but is thick enough to be a hearty sauce

Once the dough has risen spread it out on a pizza round or baking sheet
Put the sauce, toppings, and "cheese" on the dough
Bake for 15 minutes.
