Sweet Pickles

I have always been a garlic and dill pickle man. Recently someone asked me to make her bread and butter pickles. I never liked these kinds of pickles, and I questioned her pickle judgment. But seeing as she is a gorgeous model, I decided to make them. Wow, are these delicious! They are sweet, but they have many flavors that combine to create a party in your mouth. Adapted from this recipe.

Ingredients
Cucumbers, thickly sliced
1 Sweet Onion, thinly sliced
2 Tablespoons of Salt
4 Cups of Sugar
4 Cups of White Vinegar
2 Cups of Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Cup of Brown Sugar
3 Teaspoons of Mustard Seed
2 Teaspoons of Celery Seed
1/2 Teaspoon of Ground Turmeric

Directions
Place the sliced cucumbers in a bowl, mix well with the salt, cover the bowl, and place in the refrigerator for an hour and a half
Boil the jars in water for 10 minutes and let cool
Rinse the cucumbers and place the cucumbers and onion in the jars
Mix the remaining ingredients and heat until just boiling; ladle vinegar mixture into the jars and let sit for an hour
Place lids on jars and store in the refrigerator

Note: The pickles were a hit with the gorgeous model lady.
