Chocolate Cake
I am not much of a baker. It seems I leave whatever it is in the oven too long or not long enough, over-mixed it, or missed some vital ingredient. This recipe, however, is very simple and vegan! Enjoy with an ice cold glass of coconut milk.
Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups of whole wheat flour
1/2 Teaspoon of salt
1 Teaspoon of baking powder
4 Tablespoons of cocoa powder
2/3 Cups of sugar
1 1/4 Cups of almond milk
2 Teaspoons of apple cider vinegar
1/3 Cup of apple sauce
1 1/2 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/3 Cup of chocolate chips
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350
Mix dry ingredients
Add wet ingredients
Fold in chips
Pour batter in pan and bake for 30 minutes
Tip: I made this once with liquid agave, and the texture of the cake was different; much more chewy than cakey if that makes any sense.
